WELCOME BACK LAMAR NEAGLE!

TACOMA, WA – He’s back! The Stars have announced the signing of MLS star, and former Tacoma roster member Lamar Neagle to a contract ahead of the 2021-22 MASL season. Neagle has appeared in 20 games for the Stars over two seasons from 2018-2020. Per league and team policies, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Neagle, a Top-10 all-time leading scorer for the Seattle Sounders FC, is a Northwest native and won a state 4A championship with Thomas Jefferson High School as a senior. He also excelled in college, leading UNLV in scoring his last two years and had 27 total markers in 73 college games. Including MLS regular-season games, U.S. Open Cup appearances, Champions League games, and MLS Post-Season contests, Neagle amassed 35 goals for the Sounders FC.

Neagle made his MASL debut with the Stars on March 10, 2019 and in his 20 games since has tallied 13 points (8G-5A). His top performances include a 4-point (1G-3A) game in a 14-4 win at Turlock on April 12, 2019, and a hat-trick against the Florida Tropics at the accesso ShoWare Center on February 27, 2020.

Next Saturday, December 18 will be the Stars Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new stuffed animal to the game and when the Stars score their first goal, let them fly onto the field!
