WEEK ONE: Players of the Week

by Lindsay Durham

The Kansas City Comets complete a clean sweep of the Week One Players of the Week. Nicolau Neto, Robert Palmer and Zach Reget earn honors as goalkeeper, defensive and offensive players of the week.

Neto earned a win in his season debut with the Comets stopping 16 of 19 shots. In his fifth season with the team the Juazeiro Do Norte, Brazil native is looking to be in mid-season form.

Reget finds himself in the number one spot offensively after a powerhouse performance in the Comets opener including a first half hat-trick. After splitting last season between three clubs Reget is looking right at home on the blue turf of Kansas City.

Palmer put on a show for his new club after being acquired by the team earlier this month. After three seasons in Ontario, he returns to the Comets for his sixth season overall with the team. Palmer had 10 blocks and one assist in the opening game.

Players of the Week are voted on each week by broadcasters and media across the league.
