Week Nine Players of the Week

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the Week Nine Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week winners. Harrisburg Heat’s Danny DiPrima earned the offensive win and the Empire Strykers’ Chris Toth won the defensive honors.


Harrisburg Heat’s DiPrima scored two game-winning goals in as many games for the Pennsylvania team. Saturday night he scored in overtime to defeat the Florida Tropics earning him first star honors. The midfielder is in his fifth season playing in the MASL all with the Heat.


Toth secured two wins for the Strykers for the second week in a row earning him the Player of the Week honors once again. Toth had 29 saves on the weekend, with only eight goals allowed. Toth now leads the league in saves and is second in wins and save percentage only to San Diego’s Boris Pardo.
