Week 16 Players of the Week

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the Week 16 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week winners. Milwaukee Wave’s Marcio Leite earned the offensive win and the Tacoma Stars’ Danny Waltman won the defensive honors.

Marcio Leite scored two goals and a huge eight assists for the Wave in two games. The MASL veteran player has 26 points through 13 games this season with the Wave and the highest points per game average since his rookie year. 

Danny Waltman allowed just four goals to earn two wins for the Stars this weekend against the visiting Mesquite Outlaws. In Saturday night’s game he allowed a single goal. Waltman has made 258 saves this year, the second highest in his nine year career.
