WAVE TAKES ON DALLAS IN AWAY AND HOME SERIES THIS WEEKEND
The 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave have a busy weekend ahead them with an away and home series against the Dallas Sidekicks. The Wave are looking two snap a two game losing streak; suffering losses on the road against St. Louis (10-4) and more recently at home against Kansas City (8-6). “Dallas is a dangerous team and they’ve got nothing to lose,” said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. “They have a lot of talented players. They’ve been to overtime many times and have been unlucky many times. If we don’t show up and are switched on it’ll be a very difficult evening.” The Sidekicks are still in search of their first win of the season and are currently on a 15 game losing streak. Closest the Sidekicks have came to a victory was Sunday, January 29 in an overtime thriller against Mesquite that came down to a shoot out. “We can’t take Dallas lightly,” said Olivierio. “Plus you’ve got Head Coach Ricardinho who won a championship with us in 2005 and Assistant Coach Fabinho that won a championship with us in 2011 and 2012. They both have a lot of pride and certainly don’t want to lose to the team that they played for.” After Saturday’s game in Dallas both teams will make their way to Milwaukee for a rare Sunday night, 6:05pm match at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. “We know it’s going to be a very difficult away game,” added Oliviero. “We just need to focus on ourselves and do what we do well and get the win. Then we’ll focus on Sunday’s game.”Tickets are on sale at MilwaukeeWave.com or at the Box Office prior to the game.
