WAVE KICK OFF HOME-AND-HOME SERIES SATURDAY VS COMETS

As the 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave start to find their stride, they face their biggest test of the season so far this weekend, against the rival Kansas City Comets.

“We know it’s not going to be any easy weekend,” said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. “We’ve been working hard all week and our result is to get the win at home, then we’ll worry about Sunday. One game at a time.”

The Milwaukee Wave is on a two game winning streak after defeating the Harrisburg Heat last Saturday and the St. Louis Ambush, in overtime, the week prior.

Kansas City is coming off an overtime loss to the Chihuahua Savage last week, snapping a 3-game winning streak. The Comet’s lead the MASL Central Division with a 9-1 record.

“The last time we played Kansas City at home (NYE) they scored a goal in the 4th quarter to go up 6-5 and that’s how the game finished,” added Oliviero. “We thought we had opportunities in that game to at least get to overtime but now we are a much different team. We’re a team that is gaining momentum and confidence and continues to grow together. Yes, it’s going to be a tough weekend but we’re ready and looking forward to it.”

Tickets for Saturday night’s 6:05pm game at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena can be purchased at MilwaukeeWave.com or at the Box Office prior to the game.

Sunday’s 4:05pm (CT) game from Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri can be streamed LIVE! and for FREE! via MASL.tv.
