WAVE BEATS LEAGUE FOE BALTIMORE BLAST

The Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave claimed victory on their home turf this afternoon against the current defending MASL Champion, Baltimore Blast. This intense matchup concluded with the Wave coming out on top, 4-2.

“This was definitely the game we’ve had circled in our calendars,” said Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. “This is the team that knocked us out of the Eastern Conference last year, so this was a really great win for us.”

#28 Angel “Chino” Curiel had the first strike just minutes into the game to give the Wave an early lead. Additionally, #26 Ian Bennett, #16 Drew Ruggles, and #8 Luan Oliveira scored to bring the final goal count to 4.

Wave Goalie Josh Lemos let just 2 of 24 shots pass from the Blast. This earned him the title of The Professional Construction Inc’s ‘Hardest Working Player of the Game’.

“Our guys played great tonight,” said Oliviero. “It was a really great defensive effort by our team, and we’re really proud of them for it.”

The Milwaukee Wave will be back in action at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Saturday, February 9th. The Wave will take on the Florida Tropics at 7:05pm CST / Milwaukee time.
