UTICA CITY FC ANNOUNCES TRIPLE SIGNING

Utica, N.Y. - Utica City FC announced today that the club has made a triple signing with Nate Bourdeau, Liam Callahan, and Ben Ramin all committing themselves to UCFC for the upcoming 2018-19 MASL season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Bourdeau, a 5’9’’, 155-pound, 7th year MASL veteran midfielder, began his college career at Boston University before playing three years at Rutgers (where he was the team captain and MVP). Bourdeau, who just turned 28, also represented the U18 US National team in Japan, and was part of the 2015 USL Championship team while playing for the Rochester Rhinos.

Callahan is a 24-year-old midfielder that brings versatility to Utica City FC due to his additional experience playing as a defender. The hardworking 5’9’’, 165-pound Buffalo native had a successful college career which saw him play both at Villanova and Syracuse University. After college, Callahan was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He has also played for K-W United FC in the Premier Development League.

Ramin, who is about to turn 25 years old at the end of this month, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and will be joining the team as a key defender. The 2018-19 MASL season will be the 6’2’’, 175-pound player’s third season at this level. His continued growth as a player will undoubtedly bring strength and stability to UCFC while also providing the opportunity of mixing youth with experience.

UCFC Head Coach, Ryan Hall expressed his positivity with this announcement:

“We are excited to have the commitment of these three guys. The balance of experience and youth is always important when assembling a successful team. Our work behind the scenes in regard to signing players is currently full throttle, and we will continue to develop and grow this team so that we give ourselves every opportunity to bring a championship to the city of Utica.”
