Tropics looking for the next Donald Trump

LAKELAND, FL (November 30, 2016) – The Florida Tropics SC are asking fans to play their “Trump” card Dec. 3 when the newest team in the Major Arena Soccer League hosts the defending league champion Baltimore Blast Dec. 3 at the Lakeland Center.

In addition to the fast-paced, high scoring action of professional indoor soccer, fans will be treated to a special “Donald Trump Lookalike Contest”. Contestants who would like to participate will be admitted free to the Saturday night game, and all “The Donald” wannabes will be judged at halftime by the Tropics' crowd, and a special “celebrity guest” judge.

The winning “Donald” will be awarded a pair of season tickets for the Tropics 2016-17 campaign, which runs through the end of February. There will be a special sign up spot at the entrance to the Lakeland Center on Dec. 3 for contestants to enjoy a night of professional indoor soccer combined with a little political fun.

Believe it or not, soccer and Trump actually go together. The now President Elect excelled at three varsity sports while a high school student at New York Military Academy, including soccer, baseball and football.
