Tony Walls named Week 6 SporTurf Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY (Jan. 3, 2020) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that St Louis Ambush forward Tony Walls was named the SporTurf Player of the Week for Week Six. This is the first Player of the Week honor for Walls and the Ambush this season.

The Team of the Week is voted on each week by MASL fans and MASL teams. Milwaukee Wave midfielder Luan Oliveira came in second in this week’s voting.

Walls is in his first year with the Ambush with previous stops in Milwaukee, Cedar Rapids and Ontario. It's not a coincidence that the St Louis Ambush are on their hottest streak since 2016 at the same time Tony Walls is hitting his stride. Walls started the week with a 2-goal 1-assist effort against the Stars, then followed it up with his second hat-trick of the year, plus an assist, against their cross state rival Kansas City Comets.

Walls and his Ambush teammates head south of the border this weekend for a two-game series against Soles de Sonora tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET and the Monterrey Flash on Sunday at 6:05 p.m. ET. Both games can be seen live online at MASL.tv
