THE MONTERREY FLASH IS BACK, ANNOUNCES FIRST PLAYER SIGNING
The wait is over for Monterrey fans. After two years absent, the Monterrey Flash announced this past Tuesday the team will return to the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), to the delight of the thousands of Flash fans in the city.
During a Press Conference held by their President Gerardo Guerra; Mariano Bollella was announced as Head Coach.
MASL Commissioner Josh Schaub, also part of the Press Conference, expressed his satisfaction with the return of the Mexican squad to the highest professional circuit of Arena Soccer in North America.
Meanwhile Monterrey City Mayor, Adrián De la Garza Santos, showed his satisfaction with the return of the “regio” team: "This is great news for us, having a winning team back in the city, a team whose players can represent positive role models for young people in Monterrey”
In his message, he also said that the synergy to follow with the directors and players of the Monterrey Flash will also be to carry out a great social work in the streets and colonies of the metropolitan capital through clinics, tournaments, and community actions that motivate children and young people to physical activities for healthy development.
Goalkeeper Diego Reynoso, who has been in the last three MASL Championship Finals, was presented as the first signing of the Monterrey Flash.
Reynoso was a part of the 2015 Champion squad, and after that, he was in two consecutive finals with Soles de Sonora.
The team will be adding many more players to the roster the latest signings to be announced in the next few days.
