STARS RE-SIGN TEAM CAPTAIN MIKE RAMOS TO EXTENSION

TACOMA, WA. – The Tacoma Stars have retained the services of their team captain, forward Mike Ramos. Ramos has finished in the top three in scoring on the team in every season he has played since joining the Stars for the 2016-17 campaign. In 73 regular-season appearances, Ramos is averaging 1.7 points per game. Per team and league policies, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In Ramos’ rookie season, he finished third on the team with 25 points (14G-11A) in 19 games played. His best offensive season came in 2018-19 with 27 goals and 18 assists, good for 45 points.

The following year, Ramos ended the season leading the team in goals with 28 and just one point behind Nick Perera for the team lead with 41 points.

Ramos has also seen action in four playoff games with Tacoma and has three goals and two assists in those contests. In December 2020 Ramos chipped in with a pair of assists in the Western Conference’s 9-4 All-Star Game win over the Eastern Conference at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, MO.
