St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush (5-7-1) play back-to-back home games this weekend at Axius Field at The Family Arena. The Chihuahua Savage (1-5-2) come to town Friday night for a 7:35 p.m. CST match, then the Ambush take the field less than 24 hours later to welcome Utica City FC (2-10-0) on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. CST.

Friday’s duel against Chihuahua is the second and final meeting between the Savage and Ambush during the 2021-22 regular season. St. Louis won the first encounter 10-7 on January 16 at The Family Arena. The Savage also play twice this weekend as they will travel to Independence to battle the Kansas City Comets on Saturday evening. The Ambush will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid while Chihuahua will try to build on winning their first of the season in their last outing January 29 against Milwaukee.

Saturday’s game against Utica is the only time they will clash with the Ambush during the 2021-22 regular season. It is also the only game Utica will play this weekend. Ambush fans may see some familiar faces on the visitor’s bench, in the form of some former Ambush ploayers, on Saturday. The most notable is Hewerton Moreira, who has been known throughout his soccer career simply as Hewerton. Hewerton was head coach of the Ambush for four seasons from 2017 to 2021 and played for the Ambush for two seasons from 2017 to 2019, before announcing his retirement as a player. He came out of retirement in January to join Utica. Another familiar face on Utica’s squad is Stefan St. Louis, who spent five seasons (2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20) with the Ambush and signed with Utica in late January. Likewise, Pablo Da Silva played for the Ambush during the 2017-18 and 2019-20 seasons. He also signed with Utica in late January. Utica comes to town hungry for a win, as they are trying to break out of an eight-game losing streak.

Saturday is also Alumni Night, featuring a halftime mini-game with alumni players from past St. Louis Steamers, St. Louis Storm and St. Louis Ambush teams.

Tickets for all remaining Ambush home games are available at the Family Arena box office and at ticketmaster.com. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team’s official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
