St. Charles, MO. – The St. Louis Ambush lost 4-2 to the Chihuahua Savage Sunday afternoon at The Family Arena. The loss dropped the Ambush to 6-10-1 on the season, while Chihuahua improved to 12-4-1.

The first quarter was scoreless until the eleventh minute when Kevin Ellis sent a pass across the goal mouth to Christian Briggs, who tapped it in to give St. Louis the first goal of the match. Neither team found the back of net in the second period until less than three minutes remained, when Chihuahua got goals from Jorge Rios and Enrique Canez to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.

The Ambush drew even in the fifth minute of the third quarter when Robby Kristo outmaneuvered a Chihuahua defender and got off a long shot that found its mark. The Savaged regained the lead in the eighth minute when Brandon Gonzalez passed to Raymundo Contreras, who was stationed near the post and was able to get the ball by Ambush goalkeeper Paulo Nascimento to make the score 3-2. Luis Medrano scored for Chihuahua in the twelfth minute, giving the visitors a 4-2 lead heading into the final frame. The fourth quarter would yield no goals for either team, giving Chihuahua the win.
