ST. LOUIS AMBUSH CLOSE OUT SEASON IN DALLAS
Saint Charles, Missouri (March 28, 2024) – The St. Louis Ambush conclude their 2023-24 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) season on the road when they visit the Dallas Sidekicks this Saturday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. CT at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.
The Ambush come into the season finale with a 4-13-6 (wins-losses-overtime losses) record, while Dallas sits at 5-18-0. Both teams are eliminated from postseason play. Saturday’s duel is the second and final meeting between the two teams this season. St. Louis won the first meeting by the score of 5-1 on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The Ambush are also still playing for their first win on the road this season.
With both teams eliminated from the playoffs, this setting provides a good opportunity for either team to give extra playing time to prospects that may earn a more prominent role next season or for existing players to earn more playing time in the future.
St. Louis will also be seeking to avoid some strange statistical anomalies that have plagued them this season. Of their 19 losses, eight were by a single goal and six of those eight were in overtime. They have also experienced a bit of a “groundhog effect” in their last five games with repeating scores. Three consecutive losses were 8-7, 8-7 and 8-7 followed by two losses of 11-5 and 11-5.
All MASL games are available for viewing via webcast at twitch.tv. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team’s official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
