Sidekicks Lose to Tacoma Stars Friday Night

Kent, WA. - The Dallas Sidekicks faced the Tacoma Stars on Friday night for the second time this season. The last time these teams faced each other, it ended in an overtime 9-10 loss for the Sidekicks.

In the first quarter of the game, Stars player, Michael Ramos scored two minutes into the game. About a minute later, Stars scored again with a goal by Nick Perera. Two minutes later, Logan Jones from the Stars scored. At the 12:46 minute mark, Stars scored again with the goal by Nani Mendoza making the score 0-4.

The second quarter of the game had no goals on either side. However, the Sidekicks had three shots on goal and the Stars had seven shots on goal. Sidekicks goalkeeper, Juan Gamboa had six saves, and the Stars goalkeeper, Danny Waltman, had three saves in the quarter.

Unlike the second quarter, the third quarter of the game was filled with goals with three more unanswered goals by the Stars. These goals were scored by Tyler John, Alex Caceres, and Gilbert De La Luz which were all scored within five minutes of the start of the quarter. The Sidekicks finally found the scoreboard at the 5:04 minute mark with the goal by Flavio Guzman. At the 13:38 minute mark, the Sidekicks found the scoreboard again with a goal by Albert Rodriguez. However, ten seconds later, Stars player Fellipe Souza scored making the score 2-8.

One minute into the fourth quarter, the Stars scored another goal by Michael Ramos. The Sidekicks then pulled Gamboa early into the fourth quarter in hopes of making a comeback. However, the Stars still found the net with Eddie Na and Nick Perera scoring with the Sidekicks 6th attacker. In the last minute of the game, Sidekicks added one more goal with a banger by Kristian Quintana. The final score of the game was 3-12.

The Dallas Sidekicks face the Tacoma Stars again at home on Sunday, March 26 at 3 PM at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center.
