Sidekicks Grab a Point after Thrilling Game

Allen, TX. - The Dallas Sidekicks faced the Tacoma Stars for their first matchup this season.

The Stars opened the scoring sheet of the game and had three straight goals which were scored by Fellipe Souza, Nick Perera, and Roman Ramirez. Late into the quarter, Sidekicks player, Kristian Quintana ended the scoring streak for the Stars. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 1-3.

In the second quarter and early into the third quarter, the Sidekicks dominated the game scoring 7 unanswered goals. Román Torres, Flavio Guzman, Rafael Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez, and Felipe Silva all saw the scoring sheet in the second quarter. Going into halftime, the score was 6-3.

36 seconds into the third quarter, Blas Pérez added a goal to the Sidekicks scoring sheet. The unanswered goals into the third quarter was soon short lived with a Stars goal by Roman Ramirez. Nick Perera scored another goal for the Stars. At the 9:32 minute mark, Cameron Brown ended the Stars goaling streak. Stars player, Eddie Na scored late into the third quarter. At the end of the quarter, the score was 8-6.

In the fourth quarter, Flavio Guzman scored another goal at the 4:37 minute mark. However, the Sidekicks lead was soon short lived because the Stars scored three goals that tied up the game making the game go into overtime. These Stars goals were scored by Nani Mendoza, Roman Ramirez, and Jamael Cox. At the end of regulation, the score was 9-9.

One minute into overtime, Jamael Cox ended the Sidekicks hopes for a win. The final score of the game was 9-10.

The Sidekicks are on the road to San Diego tomorrow night. The game will be streamed live on Twitch.
