Sidekicks Fall to Milwaukee Wave for Family Night Out

Allen, Texas (December 28, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekicks faced the Milwaukee Wave on Thursday night. This was their first meet up this season.

The first quarter started off slow with no goals until the 11th minute mark. The first goal of the game was scored by the Wave by Ricardo Carvalho. Despite six shots on goal, Sidekicks goalkeeper, Juan Gamboa, kept the Sidekicks together, blocking five shots.  At the end of the first quarter, the Sidekicks were only down by one.

The second quarter of the game was slow on both sides offensively with 8 shots on goal by the Wave and only 2 shots on goal for the Sidekicks. Going into halftime, the score was 0-1.

Late into the third quarter, the Sidekicks finally found the back of the net with a goal by Moises Hernandez. This was his first professional indoor goal. However, 20 seconds later, the Wave scored with the goal by Ricardo Carvalho. Three minutes later the Wave found the back of the net again when Ben Ramin scored. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 1-4.

The fourth quarter was dominated on the scoring sheet by the Wave with all three goals being scored by them. The first Wave goal in the quarter was scored by Ricardo Carvalho, which completed his hat trick. Carvalho scored again 3 minutes after his first goal in the quarter. Breno Oliveira scored the last goal of the game making the final score 1-7.

Throughout the night, Sidekicks goalkeeper, Juan Gamboa kept the Sidekicks in the game intact with 18 saves and had a .720% save percentage.
