SeaWolves Add Rodrigues, Arriaga

ORLANDO, FL (Oct. 18, 2018)– Most of the Orlando SeaWolves signings have been experienced outdoor soccer or futsal players making their MASL debuts, or veteran indoor players from last year’s playoff-bound Cedar Rapids Rampage. The SeaWolves today announced the signings of Bruno Rodrigues (pending visa approval) and Phibo Arriaga, one from each of those camps. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreements will not be disclosed.

Rodrigues, 29, is a native of Sao Paulo. In his outdoor career, the forward has played in Brazil, Portugal, and Japan. In addition to his lightning speed, Bruno is great on the ball and a playmaker who's dominant in 1v1 situations.

"Bruno is a playmaker who will definitely add to our offensive weapons,” said SeaWolves GM Chris Kokalis. “He's got great speed, he’s physical, and is a very dynamic player.”

Arriaga, also 29, is a four-year veteran of the MASL, who got his start in 2014/15 with the Seattle Impact and then spent the last three seasons with the Rampage. Last year he set career highs in games played (16), goals (2), and assists (6), and became a regular fixture on the Cedar Rapids defense.

“Phibo is a player who always works hard, is always positive, and is just hungry to contribute to the team,” said Kokalis.

Orlando will host the International Challenge on November 10. The Brazilian U-21 National Minifootball Team will take on the Colombian National Minifootball Team at 3:05pm followed by Brazilian National Minifootball Team against the SeaWolves at 7:05pm at Silver Spurs Arena.
