RAMPAGE DEFEAT WAVE AGAIN

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – November 26, 2016 - The Cedar Rapids Rampage found themselves in a familiar position again, trailing by two goals in the first quarter. But instead of a dramatic see-saw battle, the Rampage rallied, took control, and then held on for a 7-5 win over the Milwaukee Wave at the US Cellular Center Saturday night.

The Rampage beat the Wave for the second time in as many games to improve to 3-2 on the season.  Milwaukee fell to 2-4.

After falling into a 2-0 hole, the Rampage reeled off six straight goals. After trading goals in the fourth quarter the Rampage led 7-3 with less than 10 minutes left and then withstood a furious and relentless Wave assault.  The swarming Rampage defense and season-best performance from goalkeeper Brett Petricek limited the Wave to only three goals in the final 55 minutes of the game.

Tony Walls and Hewerton Moreira each had two goals, and Jonatan Santos, Bobby Hurwitz and Gordy Gurson had one apiece. Gurson had two assists and Hewerton had one, giving both players three points on the night.
