OUTLAWS WIN TEXAS SHOWDOWN AT HOME
MESQUITE, Texas (December 23, 2023) – Texas Outlaws win 12-4 against the Dallas Sidekicks in Mesquite, Texas, for the Texas Showdown. The Outlaws are now 3-2-1 and the Sidekicks are 1-3-0.
The game at Mesquite Arena started with a goal from Luiz Morales in the first 30 seconds, assisted Erik Macias. In the 9th minute of the game, Kristian Quintana was issued a blue card for the Sidekicks for tripping. During the powerplay, Luiz Morales got his second goal of the night, assisted by Andy Reyes. Sebastian Mendez scored for the Outlaws in 10th minute, putting the Outlaws up 3-0. In the 12th minute, Jamie Lovegrove was issued a blue card for the Sidekicks for tripping. During the powerplay, Vinicius Dantas scored for the Outlaws. In the 13th minute, Albert Rodriguez put the Sidekicks on the board with a goal. The first quarter ended with the Outlaws up 4-1. In the 3rd minute of the second quarter, Blas Perez scored for the Sidekicks, unassisted. In the 4th minute, Vinicius Dantas got his second goal of the night for the Outlaws. The Outlaws scored again going into the 13th minute, scored by Jorge Deleon, assisted by Dantas. Multiple penalties were issued to both teams, one being a red card given to Flavio Guzman for the Sidekicks for violent conduct. The Outlaws up 6-2 going into the second half.
Andy Reyes got his first goal of the night 3 minutes into the second half. Jamie Lovegrove scored for the Sidekicks in the 5th minute. Blas Perez got his second goal of the night in the 6th minute, assisted by Nestor Hernandez. In the 8th minute, Dantas was issued a yellow card for dissent. In the 12th minute of the 3rd quarter, Rio Ramirez was issued a blue card for holding. During the powerplay, Luiz Morales scored his hattrick goal, putting the Outlaws up 8-4 going into the final quarter. Renato Torquato was issued a blue card in the 5th minute for holding for the Sidekicks. Andy Reyes got his second goal of the night in the 7th minute. David Ortiz got an empty netter goal in the 9th minute for the Outlaws. Mike Jones got his empty netter goal in the 11th minute for the Outlaws. The final goal was scored by Lucas Ramalho for the Outlaws in the 14th minute. Outlaws winning 12-4.
