OUTLAWS CLIP SIDEKICKS ON ROAD IN OVERTIME, 8-7

ALLEN, TX – Mesquite Outlaws win 8-7 in overtime against Dallas Sidekicks in Allen, Texas at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center.

The Outlaws scored in the first three minutes of the first quarter, scored by Erik Macias. A couple of seconds later in a shootout, after Sidekicks player Felipe Silva received a blue card for tripping, Luiz Morales scored for the Outlaws in a shootout. In the 9th minute, Sidekicks got on the board with a goal from Alberto Rodriguez, the score now 2-1. Jorge DeLeon scored for the Outlaws in the 10th minute, ending the first quarter 3-1 Outlaws.

Four minutes into the second quarter, Morales scored for the Outlaws, his second of the game. Rodriguez scored again for the Sidekicks in the 5th minute, putting the score at 4-2 at halftime. 47 seconds in the 3rd quarter by Sebastian Mendez. Gustavo Piedra scored for the Sidekicks in the second minute, now 5-3. Morales scored his hat trick of the game 20 seconds later. DeLeon scored in the 6th minute, score now 7-3. Alberto Rodriguez for Sidekicks was ejected after a red card for dangerous play. The 3rd quarter ended with the score 7-3.

The 4th quarter started with a quick 46-second goal from Cameron Brown, the 100th goal of his career. Oscar Romero scored for the Sidekicks, and the score is now 7-5. Renato Torquato scored for the Sidekicks, now 7-6. Ahmed Zaky scored for the Sidekicks, tying the game, and sending it into overtime.

Sebastian Mendez scored the golden goal for the Outlaws, winning the game.

Luiz Morales scored a hat trick for the Outlaws, being the night's top scorer. The Outlaws are now 6-1-1, and Dallas Sidekicks are 0-7-1.

The next game for the Outlaws is Saturday, January 21st against Monterrey Flash at the Mesquite Arena is Mesquite, Texas. Kickoff for the game is at 7:05 pm CST.
