ORLANDO SEAWOLVES SIGN FORWARD FABIAN CIFUENTES

ORLANDO, Florida (June 6, 2019) – The Orlando SeaWolves continue to piece together their 2019-2020 roster by adding the current leading goalscorer in Liga Mexicana de Futbol Rápido Profesional, forward Fabian Cifuentes, to a five-year contract. Per team and league policies, no further details were disclosed.

The 5’5” attacker has played for many clubs in his career including the Colombian U-20 National Team, América de Cali reserves in Colombia, Reynosa FC, a third division team in Mexico, Real Valledupar, a professional futsal team in Mexico, Deportivo Don Rogue and most recently CFR Reynosa, both of the LMFR Pro.

Last season with Don Rogue, Cifuentes scored seven goals in just five games and helped his team win the league championship. So far this season with Reynosa, the 22-year-old has 11 goals and 14 assists in just six games played.

"Fabian is a natural goal scorer. His speed combined with his ability to find the net consistently will improve our squad tremendously,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said. “He’s been a top scorer throughout his young career and has the championship mentality that every club looks to add. I'm looking forward to watching him grow with us as a player in the MASL."
