ORLANDO SEAWOLVES SIGN DEFENDER PATO MARTINEZ
Speedy defender joins Orlando from Mexico
ORLANDO, Florida (June 6, 2019) – The Orlando SeaWolves look to build up their defense from last season, signing 6’3” defender Edgar “Pato” Martinez. Per team and league policies, no further details were disclosed.
Martinez started his indoor career in the PASL back in 2013-14 with the Monterrey Flash, where he played in 15 games and tallied three goals, three assists, and six points. The defender was also with the Flash when they won the 2014-15 MASL championship, but missed most of the season due to injury. Martinez then took his talents to the Liga Mexicana de Futbol Rápido to play for Deportivo Don Roge for the last three seasons.
"Pato adds strength and size to our back line,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said. “He's a great locker room guy who we believe will benefit the squad we are piecing together.”
