ORLANDO SEAWOLVES SIGN BRAZILIAN PLAYMAKER MIGUEL LOPES SHEPHERD

Attacker last played in Brazil with CR Vasco da Gama

ORLANDO, Florida (May 23, 2019) – As they continue to bolster their attack, the Orlando SeaWolves have inked dynamic Brazilian playmaker Miguel Lopes Shepherd to a five-year deal, pending league approval. Per team and league policies, no further details were disclosed.

The 5’9” attacker joins the SeaWolves having played his entire career in South America. At just 23, Miguel has played for various clubs in Brazil and winning various awards along the way, playing for America Football Club in the Copa Rio Fut 7, Friburgo in the Copa Suderj Fut 7, Boavista in the Carioca 2018 and most recently for Vasco da Gama in the BTV Cup in Vietnam. Throughout the various competitions, Miguel has scored 24 goals and notched 14 assists in just 35 games.

“At just 23 years of age, Miguel has the speed and craftiness on the ball to make things happen offensively,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said. "We are looking forward to having his unique knack to score and create goals on our squad.”

Miguel now teams up with newly acquired forward Omar Tapia as well as recently re-signed Osvaldo Rojas to help bolster the SeaWolves attack for the foreseeable future.
