ORLANDO SEAWOLVES RE-SIGN OSVALDO ROJAS TO FIVE-YEAR DEAL

Veteran forward commits to Orlando for long-term

ORLANDO, Florida (May 17, 2019) – The Orlando SeaWolves have re-signed veteran forward Osvaldo Rojas to a five-year deal, locking in the physical goal scorer for the long term. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The 29-year old forward is coming off a banner year, scoring 23 goals and adding 10 assists, both career-highs in his three-year MASL career. Notching six braces and one hat-trick in 23 games, Rojas proved to be one of the more consistent offensive threats for the SeaWolves as the season went on, averaging one goal per game played.

"Osvaldo is one of the league's most underrated players,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said, His heart, passion, and commitment to get better every day puts us in position to win every time he is on the field".

The forward came to Orlando from the Cedar Rapids Rampage, where he had 16 points with eight goals and eight assists in 16 games during the 2017-2018 season. He scored a career-high 19 points in his rookie 2016-2017 season with the Chicago Mustangs. Before coming to MASL, the native of Tuxpan, Mexico spent time in Liga MX with for four years, as well as with Veracruz and Potros UAEM of Ascenso MX.
