ONTARIO FURY RE-SIGNS FORMER US INTERNATIONAL SOCCER STAR JERMAINE JONES

Jones to play in preseason game Saturday Nov. 10th versus San Diego at Toyota Arena

Ontario, California (November 9, 2019)– Former U.S. Menʼs National Soccer Team regular and 2014 FIFA World Cup star Jermaine Jones has re-signed with the Ontario Fury the club officially announced today. He rejoins the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) side for its pre-season training camp, currently in full swing and preparing for the upcoming 2019-20 MASL campaign. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The popular soccer star returns to the Fury following an impressive start to his indoor career at the tail end of the Fury season last year, scoring 10 goals and 4 assists in only 5 games played. 

Unlike the glitz and glamour of last years press conference to announce the signing of Jones at Ontarioʼs home venue, Toyota Arena, Jones decided it was time to let all his fans know why heʼs been working out so hard during the offseason by simply announcing his re-signing on his personal Instagram Stories himself after a training session with the team on Friday.

“I can officially say that Iʼm back with the Fury for another season,” Jones said. “Iʼm coming back to the Fury to
win a championship. I will work hard to help this team get to the next level and Iʼm also really looking forward to
getting out into the community and continue to help promote this club and get the local community out to watch
our games. I canʼt wait to get going this Sunday against San Diego at home. I love this game, Iʼm back, I will
see you all soon.”

Jones and the Fury will get right into game action and see where they stack up against their I-15 freeway rivals, the San Diego Sockers, as they face off in a preseason match on Sunday November 10, 2019 at Toyota Arena. Game is scheduled to kickoff at 3:05pm, Doors will open at 1:30pm.
