Midfielder extended through 2021-2022 season

KANSAS CITY (July 13, 2020) – The Kansas City Comets announced today that midfielder, Nacho Flores has signed a two-year contract. Flores is now under contract with the Comets through the 2021-22 season. Per team and league policies, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The Park University alum has played five MASL seasons, all with the Kansas City Comets. His best season with the team was during the 2017-18 season when Flores scored 16 goals with 19 assists for 35 points.

“Having Nacho locked up for the next two seasons is big for us,” said Comets Head Coach, Leo Gibson. “His signing really helps solidify us in the midfield for at least the next two years.”

Flores says that his adoration for the club and the passion from the fans are the two main reasons he re-signed with the Comets. “I am staying in Kansas City because of the fans and the love I have for the team,” Flores said.

The Kansas City Comets 2020-21season kicks off this winter at Cable Dahmer Arena (formerly Silverstein Eye Centers Arena). Season tickets are on sale now and group tickets will be on sale later this fall. For the latest news and information, visit KCComets.com and follow the team on Facebook, Instagram and twitter.
