Monterrey Flash Name Mariano Bollella as Head Coach
MONTERREY, Nuevo León.- The Monterrey Flash have announced that they had reached an agreement with head coach Mariano Bollella to lead the in the 2022-23 season of the Major Arena Soccer League.
The Argentine coach returns to the organization after leading the team to the MASL Run Newman cup Series in the 2018-19 season.
“I am happy to return to the team, eager to do things well. We have a very interesting new challenge and I am sure we will be fighting for the championship”, expressed the MASL Coach of the Year in the 2018-2019 season.
Bollella began his career as a coach with La Raza de Monterrey, and in his first tournament on the bench, in 2009-2010 season, he won the MASL title. His first participation as coach of the Flash was in the Mexican Indoor Soccer League and he also debuted with the title, in the 2011 tournament.
“I am sure that he is the best choice for our team, because of the identification he has with Monterrey's indoor soccer, in addition to knowing the institutional philosophy perfectly, and best of all, he understands our goals this season, as well as the new profile of player that we are looking for”, expressed Gerardo Guerra, president of the team.
Mariano, in addition to La Raza de Monterrey, coached La Fiera of Hidalgo, Texas, the also Texan Oxford City, and Las Vegas Legends. His lifetime coaching record on the US professional indoor soccer is 58-27 in regular season and 9-3 in the playoffs.
The Monterrey Flash returns to the MASL courts after two years without participating due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
