Mexican futbol star Vuoso joins Barracudas

HIDALGO, Texas ---- The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas will former America and national Mexico player for forward Vicente Matias Vuoso to the roster. Term of contract is disclosed due to team and league policy. Vuoso is also pending visa approval.

Vuoso is native of Mar de Plata, Argentina and began playing professionally in Argentina for Independiente in 2000. After a brief stint with Manchester City of the Premier League in 2002, Vuoso transferred to Mexico where played for Santos Laguna, America, Atlas, and Chiapas.

Known for his scoring prowess, Vuoso gained Mexican nationalization and earn multiple call ups to the National team in which he was a participant in Copa America 2015 which was held in Chile.  

In his club career, Vuoso made 504 appearances for nine different clubs and scored 161 goals. As a member of the Mexican national he made 15 appearances and scored eight goals.

The RGV Barracudas next game is on the road as the take on the Sonora Soles at Centro de Usos Multiple in Sonora, Mexico on Thursday, November 30th with the kickoff set at 8:35 PM MST. The Barracudas next home game is on Sunday, December 3rd, against the Turlock Express with the kick off set for 5:05 PM CST.
