Mauricio Salles Named Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY (Nov 4, 2016) – Ontario Fury’s Mauricio Salles was named the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Week Two Player of the Week this afternoon. The Player of the Week is awarded by fan vote each week of the season.

Salles earned this week’s award by scoring two goals and an assist on the road against Soles De Sonora last Saturday. Despite his team’s loss, Salles fought until the very end and was named the game’s 2^nd Star.

The veteran midfielder is in his second season with the Fury after spending the previous four seasons with the Rochester Lancers. He has 154 goals in his career, including five already in 2016.

Salles and the Fury travel to Washington this Saturday, November 12^th for a 9:05 p.m. ET match against division rivals, the Tacoma Stars.
