KANSAS CITY (Feb 10, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League announced today Kansas City Comets’ Vahid Assadpour has been named the Week 15 Player of the Week. This is the first Player of the Week award for Assadpour and the fourth time a Comets player has earned the honor.

Kansas City’s captain led the way to the Comets big 10-4 win last Saturday against the St. Louis Ambush. He scored two goals and assisted on two more as his team extended their current win streak to seven games. The win also kept the Comets in first place in the MASL’s tightest playoff race.

The Comets return home to the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena this Saturday at 8:05 p.m. ET.  This is their annual Pink Night where the team wears special Pink Jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit The Ali Kemp Foundation. A win will extend the team’s longest winning streak of the season, which currently sits at seven games.
