MASL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – WEEK EIGHTEEN

KANSAS CITY (Mar. 2, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League announced the Ontario Fury’s Leonardo De Oliveira as the Week Eighteen Player of the Week this afternoon. This is De Oliveira’s first Player of the Week award and the fourth won by an Ontario Fury player this season.

With his team on the verge of being disqualified from the MASL postseason, and facing three road games in three days, De Oliveira led the Ontario Fury to three straight victories. He scored nine goals and two assists in those three games as he helped his team remain in playoff contention.

The Ontario Fury are now in control of their playoff destiny. They travel to Turlock to play the Express on Friday night. A win will secure their spot in the postseason. If they are unable to defeat the Express, they can still earn the final spot on the Ron Newman Cup tournament bracket if the San Diego Sockers defeat the Tacoma Stars on Saturday night.

Each game of the final regular season weekend will be streamed live on MASLtv, the streaming home of the MASL. Fans can find all the latest news, scores and information about the MASL online at MASLSoccer.com
