Utica City FC Head Coach Ryan Hall and
Ontario Fury Forward Adrien Perez receive honors

KANSAS CITY (Jan. 8, 2019) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) named the recipients of the December Coach of the Month and Player of the Month awards today. Utica City FC Head Coach Ryan Hall and Ontario Fury forward Adrien Perez.

Coach Ryan Hall and his players have been welcomed to Utica with open arms by the fans at Adirondack Bank Center. Hall has repaid that kindness by giving the fans some of the most entertaining arena soccer in the league. Utica City went undefeated at home in December, including two wins against the defending champion Baltimore Blast. Their 5-1 overall record last month has them sitting at the top of the Eastern Division table.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Ryan and our organization,” said General Manager Tommy Tanner. “Ryan has done a tremendous job guiding a new team in a new city. He has created a winning culture for Utica that has led to back-to-back sellouts in our building.”

On the other end of the country, second-year forward Adrien Perez has been lighting the lamp for the Fury at a furious pace. In the ever-tough Pacific Division, Perez opened up the season with five points in each of his first three games of the season. Through the month of December Perez led the league with 13 goals and was first among the MASL’s Top Stars with 90 Stars points.

“It’s a well-deserved recognition for Adrien as he worked his butt off during the offseason and had a great start this year,” said Fury Team President Bernie Lilavois. “An unfortunate injury has sidelined him for the last five games, but I think I speak for all MASL fans and not just the Fury, that we are all looking forward to his return to the field soon and the excitement he brings to the games every night. He's a fun player to watch.”
