MASL INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE PITS LEAGUE’S BEST AGAINST EACH OTHER
ST LOUIS (June 16, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) is set to host the third MASL International Challenge tonight in St. Louis, MO when the best players from around the league face each other in a USA vs The World format.
The match will be the culmination of an eventful week in the MASL. Executives and owners from around the league have been gathered to discuss the future of the game and prepare for the 2017-2018 season.
The USA will be led behind the bench by Bernie Lilavois, former coach of the Ontario Fury. Lilavois will have a strong midfield, including Gordy Gurson (Cedar Rapids Rampage) and Lucas Rodriguez (Kansas City Comets).
Milwaukee Wave’s Giuliano Oliviero was selected to coach The World team, and he will have many familiar faces on his bench. Six Wave players, including team scoring leader Ian Bennett, are on the World roster. To fill out his team, Oliviero will select four players from the MASL Combine, held earlier in the afternoon.
The MASL International Challenge kicks off at 8:35 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on MASLtv.
