MASL also retains Gutwein Law as General Counsel

KANSAS CITY (August 18, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today an agreement to extend the contract of commissioner Joshua Schaub and his law firm, Gutwein Law. The multi-year agreement continues Schaub’s appointment as MASL Commissioner through potentially the 2019-2020 season.

Schaub will be entering his second full season with the league and will continue to oversee the league’s growth into new markets and new media. Under his leadership, the league is currently on track to have teams across North America by 2020. He has overseen the launch of MASLtv, the league’s new streaming media home and helped to stabilize the league as it just concluded one of the most exciting seasons in its history.

“Arena soccer is one of the most exciting sports around,” said Schaub. “I am honored to be a part of it and to be working with our members to grow the game into new markets and new mediums.”

As part of the agreement, Gutwein Law will remain the league’s official General Counsel through the life of the extended contract.

The full MASL schedule will be released in September with the 2017-2018 season set to kickoff in late October. Fans can keep up with the latest news about the league and its teams .
