MASL Awards M2 Management to the Arena Soccer Group

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (October 24, 2019) – With the 3rd season of the Major Arena Soccer League 2 (M2) on the horizon, the league has made some positive changes with one of them being the Arena Soccer Group, LLC (ASG) awarded the management contract for the upcoming season.

The Major Arena Soccer League board completed negotiations with ASG to help continue to build, facilitate and grow the quality of arena soccer the MASL has started.

ASG is a management group based out of Colorado Springs that has stepped in to relieve the workload of the MASL and help maintain the highest quality of arena soccer played in the world. ASG will provide day to day league operations support as well as being tasked to expand the league with new franchises and markets.

This season, the M2 will consist of 9 teams spanning from Chihuahua, Mexico to Muskegon, Michigan. Returning teams include the Colorado Inferno (Colorado Springs), Colorado Rumble (Denver), New Mexico Runners, and Muskegon Risers. New teams added to the roster include the Austin Power, Wichita Wings, Falls Town Flyers, Chihuahua Savage, and Chicago Thunder.

The Falls Town Flyers out of Wichita Falls, Texas will be added to the mix giving the core of six teams in the middle of the country. Falls Town has one season under their belt as they are coming from the Texas based US Arena Professional Soccer League to join the M2 for the 2019-20 season.

The legendary Wichita Wings hail out of Wichita, Kansas and are returning to the turf for their 40th anniversary season under the leadership of Blake Shumaker. The Wings are one of the most recognizable names in arena soccer.

The official start for the M2 season is slated to kick off December 1, 2019. The schedule is due soon to be publicly released as the new management group works to complete the transitions necessary to ensure a successful season.
