KANSAS CITY (April 5, 2017) – The Ron Newman Cup Championship Series begins Friday, April 7th as the Baltimore Blast host Soles de Sonora. Two days later, the series will conclude in Hermosillo, Mexico as Sonora hosts the Blast. In conjunction with the Championship festivities, the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced several additions to the upcoming MASLtv broadcast schedule.

First, the Ron Newman Cup Press Conference, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET on April 6, 2017, will be broadcast LIVE on MASLtv. Both Championship teams will be represented as the league previews the series, hands out Major Awards and discusses the future of arena soccer.

In addition, the MASL also announced today that both legs of the series will feature English and Spanish broadcasts on MASLtv.

“This series features two of the league’s most exciting teams. Fans from each market, as well as across the world, get to enjoy the game in the language of their choosing,” said MASL Commissioner Josh Schaub.

Game One will feature a special Spanish language broadcast hosted by Moises Linares. For the past five years Linares has been a Sports Reporter and Anchor for Telemundo DC and has been a Play-by-Play announcer on CBS Radio El Zol 107.9 for DC United.

Game Two will have an English broadcast hosted by Marc Serber. Serber has spent the past seven years as an on-air talent for Fox Sports International and is also the play-by-play announcer for the San Diego Sockers.

The entire Ron Newman Cup Championship Series can be seen in English or Spanish on MASLtv, the streaming home of the Major Arena Soccer League.
