Lucas Roque Out for Season with Torn ACL; Blast sign defender Mike Deasel

Baltimore, MD- Baltimore Blast President and General Manager, Kevin Healey, announced today that forward Lucas Roque will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Roque suffered the injury in the Blast’s win over the Harrisburg Heat on January 6^th. Roque will undergo surgery on Monday for the injury.

The Blast also announce the signing of defender Mike Deasel. Deasel previously played 4 seasons with the Blast before retiring in 2015. Deasel recorded 12 goals and 13 assists in the 76 games he played while also recording 29 blocked shots. Deasel was a member of the 2013 Blast Championship Team and will add veteran depth to the Blast defense.

The Blast are back in action on Friday, January 12^th when they travel to Syracuse to take on the Silver Knights at 7:05 p.m. The game can be streamed at MASL.tv or on the MASL app.
