Lucas Roque Out for Season with Torn ACL; Blast sign defender Mike Deasel

Baltimore, MD- Baltimore Blast President and General Manager, Kevin Healey, announced today that forward Lucas Roque will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Roque suffered the injury in the Blast’s win over the Harrisburg Heat on January 6th. Roque will undergo surgery on Monday for the injury.

The Blast also announce the signing of defender Mike Deasel. Deasel previously played 4 seasons with the Blast before retiring in 2015. Deasel recorded 12 goals and 13 assists in the 76 games he played while also recording 29 blocked shots. Deasel was a member of the 2013 Blast Championship Team and will add veteran depth to the Blast defense.

The Blast are back in action on Friday, January 12th when they travel to Syracuse to take on the Silver Knights at 7:05 p.m. The game can be streamed at MASL.tv or on the MASL app.
