LATE GOAL LIFTS UTICA OVER HARRISBURG 4-3

Utica, NY – Utica City FC finished the weekend with a game against the Harrisburg Heat. Throughout the first half, Utica City led 2-1, and would go on to win 4-3 thanks to a goal by Bo Jelovac with just over a minute remaining.

Through the first fifteen minutes of gameplay, the two teams battled it out, but remained scoreless. In the second quarter, at 1:25, Utica City FC started off the scoring with an early goal from Joey Tavernese.

Later, at 3:13, Cristhian Segura decided to join in on the fun, and put the Utica City FC up, 2-0. At 12:38, Harrisburg gets on the board with a goal from Robert Williamson.

At the end of the first 30 minutes, Utica City led 2-1.

In the third quarter, Harrisburg tied it up with a goal from Malcom Harris. Harrisburg would soon take the lead at 11:31, with a breakaway goal from Alejandro Chavez, making it 3-2 Harrisburg.

Tavernese would get his second goal of the game at 7:38 in the fourth quarter, with the assist from Nate Bourdeau, making the score 3-3.

At 13:59, Utica City regained the lead with a goal from Bo Jelovac, with the assist from Tavernese. Utica City won the match 4-3, outshooting the Heat, 24-9. 

The win moves UCFC to 5-12 on the year. They will play at Harrisburg again Friday before returning home on Sunday March 13th at 2 P.M. against San Diego. Tickets are available at uticacityfc.com/tickets.
