LAMAR NEAGLE RETURNS TO STARS
TACOMA, WA. - The Tacoma Stars have announced the re-signing of a Northwest favorite in midfielder Lamar Neagle. Per team and league policy, terms of the agreement were not released. Neagle, a Tacoma native returns to the team after appearing in six games for the Stars last season.
Prior to joining the Stars, Neagle appeared in 130 games for the Seattle Sounders FC and currently sits fourth all-time in goals scored for the MLS club. In addition, he is in the Top 10 all-time in assists for the Sounders FC.
Neagle began his mark on Northwest soccer with Thomas Jefferson High School where he helped the team to the State 4A title with a 16-2-4 record. En route to the team’s Championship Neagle broke a 31-year-old school record by netting six goals in one game.
His track record of excellence and what he brings to the Stars is not lost on team owner Lane Smith. “Bringing Lamar back was a huge priority to the team. He’s a consummate professional with incredible pedigree. His effort and attitude are infectious, and we are extremely excited he’s coming back” Smith said.
