JOSH LEMOS NAMED WEEK THIRTEEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

by Jeff Husted

KANSAS CITY (January 26, 2018) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that Milwaukee Wave goalkeeper Josh Lemos was named the Week Thirteen Player of the Week. He becomes the third Wave player to win the award this season, joining Andre Hayne (Week 7) and Ian Bennett (Weeks, 2 and 8).

The Milwaukee Wave split the weekend’s two games. Lemos kept his team in the game until the very end on Thursday, posting a .714 save percentage along the way. Then on Saturday, Lemos put on a show and produced only the second shutout this season. That win enabled the Wave to be the first team to clinch a spot in the 2018 Ron Newman Cup Tournament.

Milwaukee hosts the St Louis Ambush this Sunday at 2:05 p.m. ET. A win in that game, or a Kansas City victory over Cedar Rapids on Sunday, will clinch the team’s first ever MASL Central Division title.
