Local homegrown Texas talent and MLS Inter Miami CF midfielder Victor Ulloa will taking the honorary opening kick for the Texas Outlaws at their home game on Saturday, December 23 against their in-state rivals, the Dallas Sidekicks.

Ulloa has played at Inter Miami CF for the past three years and was teammates with Lionel Messi (ARG) last season. Ulloa grew up playing competitive soccer in North Texas, where he was captain for the FC Dallas Academy under Head Coach Oscar Pareja from 2008 to 2010. He was one of the first four homegrown players to graduate from the FC Dallas Youth Academy and sign with FC Dallas’ MLS professional team in 2010, making his professional debut for the team in 2011.

“I am proud to support the Texas Outlaws indoor soccer program, and have known Brad Namdar for many years now, as well as many of the Outlaws players,” said Ulloa, "Indoor soccer is a great game, it’s fast pace, fun, and being able to come back and do the opening kick with so many of my friends and family in attendance is really special."

Despite being an outdoor professional soccer player, Victor loves and has attended indoor soccer games in the past.

"This should be a great game and I am excited to do the opening kick, and watch the Outlaws perform," said Ulloa.

“Victor is a tremendous professional both on and off the field; I had the privilege of knowing, working, and watching Victor grow in the soccer world over the years, all the way back to my days at the FC Dallas Academy with Oscar Pareja,” said Outlaws General Manager Brad Namdar, "I am very proud of his career, and we are happy to have him do our opening kick ceremony."
