I-70 SERIES DATES ANNOUNCED

The St. Louis Ambush and Kansas City Comets will host their 2022-23 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) season openers when they face each other in a home-and-home series Thanksgiving Weekend. The MASL granted permission to teams to begin their season the weekend prior to MASL’s Opening Weekend to give teams the opportunity to align their games with the U.S. Men’s National team’s World Cup appearances.

“This rivalry series hosted on Thanksgiving weekend has a significant financial impact for both clubs and it’s become something our city’s embrace,” said Shelly Clark, Ambush CEO and co-owner. “We are thankful to the MASL for granting us the permission to host this annual event ahead of the official season kick-off.”

The first game is slated for Black Friday, November 25, 2022 at 5:05 p.m. CT at The Family Arena when the Ambush host the Comets. The game will kick off just after the conclusion of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup match between the U.S. Men’s National team and England.

The next night, November 26, the Comets host the Ambush at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Cable-Dahmer Arena in Independence, Mo..
