Heat Sign Lepetit
Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Heat announced the signing of goalie James Lepetit today. Lepetit is a professional goalkeeper from France with a vast futsal and outdoor background. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“James is the 'French Phenom',” says Soccer Sam Fantauzzo. “I haven’t seen someone that calm on the ball since Victor Nogueira…cat like instincts like Jim May and an arm like Otto Orf. James will be a top keeper in the MASL soon."
“James brings size, agility and amazing footwork. Standing 6'4" and 210 pounds he shrinks the goal but his reflexes are outstanding," adds Heat GM Carl Delmont. “His footwork and delivery are very impressive."
The Heat will be holding tryouts as they have each season to add to the returning roster. James will be returning to France next week but coming back early to work out with veterans.
"It is an honor to join this team and I hope to be one of the keys to the future success of our team,” said James. “My English isn't the best being that I am French, but I hope that the fans will understand me and will love me especially based on what I will show on the field. I will give my all for the team and the fans!"
The Heat play in the MASL. Tickets and info can be found on HarrisburgHeat.com.
