Heat Return Home, Beat Utica City 7-4
The say home is where the heart is, but maybe it’s where the heat is, as the Harrisburg Heat win in their first home game following a six-game road trip taking down Utica City FC Friday night at the Farm Show Arena.
The Heat took a 1-0 lead from a Tavoy Morgan, who remains in sizzling form, but for the second straight game against Utica City had to leave early due to an injury. Harrisburg would extend to a 5-3 lead going into the fourth quarter, which has been a roadblock this season. Yet tonight there would be nothing stopping the Heat from winning in front of their home fans, even when Utica cut it back to a 5-4 lead. But two late goals saw Harrisburg notch their 2nd win on the season.
On the score sheet for Harrisburg with Ricardo Carvalho (two goals), Morgan, William Eskay, Daniel Villela, Dominic Francis and Patrick Thompson.
Utica’s goals came from newly acquired Freddy Moojen, Jake Schindler, Slavisa Ubipariprovic and Darren Toby.
Matt Perrella gets the win for the Heat after notching five saves in goal and adding an assist.
The Heat now welcome I83 rivals in the Baltimore Blast to Farm Show tomorrow night with a 7.05 kickoff slated. It will also be the Heat Alumni game at halftime. Tickets are available at www.harrisburgheat.com.
