HEAT LOSE A TIGHT GAME TO FIRST-PLACE FLORIDA TROPICS

LAKELAND, FL - The Florida Tropics defeated the Harrisburg Heat 6-4 on Friday evening in Florida.  The Heat were playing without eight players due to injuries and illnesses.  The Heat dressed fourteen players for the game including two goalkeepers.  With the result, Florida improves to 5-2-1 for the season, and Harrisburg drops to 1-3.

The game was tied 2-2 at the half.  Total shots by each team for the game were very close as Florida had 27 shots while Harrisburg had 24 shots on goal.

Florida Tropics were led by Ricardo Carvalho with two goals and Zach Reget with one goal and two assists.  Also scoring for Florida were Victor Parreiras, Drew Ruggles, and Anthony Arico.  Chris Frederick recorded 10 saves for the Tropics.

Alejandro Chavez scored 2 goals and had 1 assist for the Harrisburg Heat.  Danny DiPrima and Andrew Hoxie each had one goal in the loss.  Rookie Andrea DiSomma recorded a first-half assist in the loss. Rookie Chase Vosvick had another good effort in the nets for the Heat as he had 14 saves.
