HEAT END SEASON WITH A DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND

The Harrisburg Heat end their season with two home games this weekend. On Saturday, the Heat take on the Chihuahua Savage from Mexico. Game time is 7:05 PM at the Equine Arena in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. On Sunday, the Tacoma Stars come to Harrisburg for a 5:05 PM kick-off. The Heat have had some unfortunate events that have help lead to the tough season. The Harrisburg Heat signed four international players this off-season including midfielder Daniel Villela who was a returning all-league player in addition to midfielder James Vaughan, and forwards Yuri Farkas and Ricardo John. None of these four players have been approved for their visa by the United States Department of Homeland Security. Compounding the issue the Heat have suffered several injuries with four players out this weekend.

Chihuahua Savage come to town riding a seven-game winning streak. They are lead in scoring by Jorge Rios who ranks third in the league in goals for with thirty-three. Forward, Hugo Puentes has also scored twenty-one goals this season. Chihuahua is preparing for a first round play-off series with the Baltimore Blast. The Tacoma Stars have six wins and fourteen losses. Nick Perera leads the Stars with twenty-one goals.

Going into the weekend, Dom Francis leads the team with seventeen goals and thirty points. Malcolm Harris and Dom Francis lead the Heat in assists with thirteen. Harris has also scored twelve goals this year. Brad Kerstetter and William Banahene lead the Heat defensively.
