HARRISBURG HEAT ADD VETERAN PRESENCE FOR PLAYOFF PUSH
Harrisburg, PA (Jan 26, 2017) – The Heat are pleased to announce the signing of Chile Farias today. The veteran forward is in training today with the team and will be available for selection this weekend.
Farias is a long-time veteran of arena soccer, having started his career with the San Diego Sockers in 1996. His experience and skill will be counted on heavily as the Heat race towards a potential spot in the playoffs.
"Denison (Cabral) called me last week and I jumped at the opportunity to play for him and help the team," said Farias.
"Chile brings a vast knowledge of arena soccer to the team and his experience on The US National Futsal Team will only help our younger guys," stated Heat GM Carl Delmont.
Cabral, Heat’s Head Coach adds "Chile and I have known each other since we were younger. As we push towards postseason, I wanted to bring in an impact player and Chile was my first choice!"
The Heat, coming off of a successful two win road trip, are now just 1.5 games out of First Place in their Division as they host the Syracuse Silver Knights this Friday’s Girl Power Night themed game featuring a Mascot Game. Saturday, The Heat host the Chicago Mustangs with Hall Of Fame players coming to induct the newest member into the Heat Hall Of Fame.
