Express Remains Undefeated at Home

Turlock, CA (December 16, 2016) - Turlock Express (3-6) takes the 9-5 win in tonight’s matchup against El Paso Coyotes who are 0-7 in the MASL. 

The Coyotes came out strong from the moment they began the game hungry for their first win of the season. Turlock however made sure to initiate the scoreboard in their favor with a goal by Martyn Arista who was assisted by Adrian Pulido.

As the second quarter began to roll, Turlock didn’t hesitate to continue their lead with a goal by Matthew Germain. Shots came from both sides but Tomas Campos from the Coyotes found the net in favor of El Paso granting them their first goal of the night. 

By Halftime the score was tied at 2-2, but the moment the 3rd quarter began Express player Ivan Campos had a goal that once more put Turlock ahead. David Salas responded back within a few minutes dragging on a tied game until Adrian “Kiko” Gutierrez and Martyn Arista topped off the end of the quarter with a goal each.

Turlock Express dominated the 4th quarter with a total of four goals from players Anibal Echeverria, Ivan Campos, Matthew Germain and Adrian Gutierrez. Even though Express remained ahead most of the game goal wise, the Coyotes put up a fight. Strong offense was shown on behalf of El Paso. GoalKeepers Christopher Welch and Jorge Nava both had numerous key saves as each team’s offense proved to have powerful shots behind them.

El Paso continues on the road to Ontario California for a game against Ontario Fury on Saturday December 17. Turlock however will play once more at home on December 30th against Atletico Baja for a rematch.
